Chris Dew joins Leukaemia UK as Director of Finances & Resources
Leukaemia UK is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Dew as Director of Finance & Resources, following ten years as Chief Financial Officer at musical therapy charity Nordoff-Robbins.
The role is a new addition to the growing charity’s senior leadership team and will see Chris will lead the charity’s efforts to become a great place to work, which is key to its five-year growth strategy launched in 2022, following merger in 2021. He will build an in-house finance and resources team to support the currently out-sourced functions.
‘I’m really pleased to be joining Leukaemia UK,’ said Chris. ‘I have a family connection to leukaemia, so I’m well aware of the urgent need to find and fund life-changing research. It’s a real pleasure to be part of an organisation committed to accelerating progress in diagnosis, treatment and care for those living with leukaemia – both today and in the future.’
Chris is a chartered accountant with a passion for the third sector. He has volunteered for a range of charities, and prior to joining the sector, worked in financial services, project management and audit & assurance.
Fiona Hazell, Chief Executive of Leukaemia UK, said: ‘We know that investing in our people and how we work is critical to delivering our strategy. Chris’ passion for the cause and track record in leading growth cultures, made him an outstanding candidate, and we’re delighted that he has joined the team.’
