MRC Research Fellows Collaboration between clinical care and biological research is critical for new discoveries to be translated into standard practice and treatments. That's why, working jointly with the Medical Research Council, we fund two clinical research training fellowships per year to offer clinical professionals the vital opportunity to launch novel research projects that combine these two fields of expertise. These joint-funded fellowships provide a valuable opportunity for highly-motivated, clinically active professionals who wish to undertake a higher research degree (PhD or MD), whose research is highly relevant to curing leukaemia and blood cancer. The researchers we support are accelerating the pace of development and are working to bring new treatments and cures to patients as quickly as possible. Having spent more than 30 years of specialising in leukaemia, we have extensive expertise in blood cancer. We work with doctors, scientists and clinicians who offer a unique capacity to support research, vital to the advancement of treatments and cure.
