What is the 60km Walking Challenge?
The 60km Walking Challenge is a month-long event where participants aim to walk a total of 60 km to raise funds Leukaemia UK. It’s a great way to stay active and support a good cause!
Registration Process
Yes, the registration is completely free. You only need to raise as much money as you can for Leukaemia UK!
You can join the Facebook Group (20+) Walk 60km in June with Leukaemia UK | Facebook, register https://givp.nl/register/2nbsbEu0, and then follow the link to create your Facebook Fundraising Page.
That is great! They can join the Facebook Group and register and set up their own fundraising page
After registration, please allow 10-14 business days for your t-shirt to arrive.
Yes! You can create your Facebook Fundraising Page without ordering a t-shirt. If you do register on the form, feel free to check the “No T-shirt” option.
There is no official deadline to register with the challenge to walk the distance during the month. But we strongly suggest registering as soon as possible to avoid missing out!
No. There is no age limit, but we do want people to feel comfortable and safe. Remember: if you are under 18 you need a parent or a guardian to agree you can participate.
Donations
Yes, we actually recommend that! Lead by example and ask your friends and family to do the same!
Yes. There are no limits on how many donations one person can make.
Unfortunately, no. But they can donate directly to Leukaemia UK at Donations & Support | Leukaemia UK or if they send you money directly, you can donate to your own fundraiser and add a note to thank them.
Facebook fundraisers are automatically set-up with a target amount. However, any and all support you can offer goes a long way towards helping improve the lives of people affected by leukaemia.

Share your fundraising page with all your friends and post about your journey daily. Additionally, make a donation to your own page to show your support and share why the cause is important to you. Either way, you are spreading awareness about how Leukaemia UK helps those affected by leukaemia.

You can donate the amount to your own Fundraising Page online, if you have the cash. Or you can mail cheques made payable to Leukaemia to us at:

Yes, once you set up a Fundraising Page any of your friends and family can donate and share!
Yes, you can. There is an edit (or manage) button on your fundraiser page where you can make your tribute and edit all information.
Unfortunately, once your page is finished you can’t reactivate it. You need to start a new one – Create your fundraising page with one click! is the link.

About this specific challenge
Feel free to use any fitness trackers you already have. Or record the distance manually – be creative.
We ask for the challenge to be set in June, but we understand that other responsibilities can be in the way.
If you feel like you can kick it up a notch, yes you can!
We would love to see everyone complete the challenge, but we understand that circumstances can change. Please don’t force yourself.
Unfortunately, with physical challenges, injuries are likely to happen. Please seek medical advice if you experience any discomfort and always follow health guidelines.
Absolutely not! We trust you! It is however, a great idea to post updates on your progress to your fundraising page to let your supporters know how you’re getting on with your challenge.
Feeling sore can absolutely happen when taking up a challenge like this. Please allow yourself a day or more of rest, stretch before and after your activity, and seek medical help if necessary.
That is absolutely fine. We know life can get in the way. Don’t feel discouraged. We are grateful for your support and help in building awareness!
