Hi, I’m Tom and I’m running the royal parks half marathon to raise money for Leukaemia UK.

I lost my Dad to leukaemia when I was just 2 years old and it’s only now that I have 2 boys around that age that I can truly understand the impact that it has on every one surrounded by it.

Charities like Leukaemia UK provide support for families going through these challenges whilst continuing to fund the research into treatments.

This run is to raise funds for the amazing work they do.
It’s to support all the heroes going through it and all the families living with it.
And it’s for my Mum who somehow got through the ordeal of losing a husband and father of her 2 year old son when she was still a young ‘un!

I’ll be aiming for a personally ambitious 1:40 so come and give me a cheer if you can on the 10th October.

Thanks x

Tom Bairstow
