Harry's diagnosis was so fast paced, with transfusions happening immediately, a transfer to another hospital far away from home and away from his family, it was the biggest shock to the system I have ever had to process. Chemotherapy began within a couple of days, as well as Harrys first operation to have his central Line fitted. My daughter and Harry were by themselves and dealing with the hardest thing no parent should ever have to deal with, let alone by herself due to Covid restrictions.
Harry has a brilliant daddy, a older brother called Ollie and his identical twin brother George. I am a identical twin myself so I know the amazing bond that they share and the thought of them being separated and experiencing life totally different is truly gut wrenching.
I saw an advert to complete the London marathon, so thought I would push myself through one of the most difficult challenges to raise some money for blood cancer research and care.
