In loving memory of Maureen Ellis, a Mum, a Grandma/Granny, and a loyal friend to so many of us. Maureen passed away in the Leicester Royal Infirmary on the 17th August 2020 after a 3 month battle with acute myeloid leukemia. She was extremely brave and an inspiration to all of us with her focus and dignity.

In light of her diagnosis, we are aiming to raise money to help support the amazing people working to fight back against the disease that took Maureen too soon. Instead of flowers Maureen wanted to do something to help stop others from suffering what she had to, so anything you can give to support this cause would be amazing. Aswell as this online giving page, a collection box will be available at the funeral service, or you can contact G Sellers, Hinckley to make a donation.

The celebration of Maureen's life will be held at Countesthorpe Crematorium on 4th September. Please let Karen know on 07932 607625 if you would like to attend so we can organise social distancing procedures. There will be a drive past Maureen's home at 1.15 as her only wish during this was to go home, which unfortunately due to her illness we were not able to do.

There are no words to tell you Mum/Grandma/Granny/Maureen, what losing you has meant,
but know each day brings memories, of happy years we spent.
You’d want us all to smile again and that’s just what we do,
every time we reminisce, with loving thoughts of you.
You’re with us when each new day dawns and when we say Goodnight,
our guardian Angel here on earth and Heaven’s shining light

Please give in Maureen's name to help other people avoid this cruel and heartbreaking disease.
From Maureen's Family
