Our husband, father, grandfather and uncle, John Radley was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndrome in April last year. He began treatment of 3 weekly blood transfusions, injections and oral medications. He had this treatment for a whole year until unfortunately this very rapidly developed into Leukaemia, causing him to pass away on 22nd May 2018.

He was so thankful to all of the doctors and nurses at the Horton Hospital who cared for him during this treatment. We as a family cannot thank them enough for all the care they gave to him.

John was a true gentleman and touched many peoples lives throughout the 82 years that he was with us, making many good friends on his journey through life. He was ALWAYS putting other people first and helping people wherever he could - even down to donating his body to science!!

John was a very special man who was loved by everyone around him, especially his friends and family.

We have chosen not to accept flowers at his memorial, instead we are asking for a small donation to this fantastic charity that supports so many people and families living with leukaemia.

Thankyou so much for donating and helping to make a difference
